Kalavardhini conducts two types of Activities

Educational Activity 

Kilbil Nritya Kala Varga :- An art awareness course for Kids
It is an art awareness course for children between 4 to 7 years of age. The one year course aims at bringing an awareness in children about Indian arts (both fine arts and handicrafts) through various activities. It also help students to learn how to appreciate and enjoy the beauty of these art forms by watching Audio-Visuals, demonstrations and by having first hand experiences whenever possible. Evaluation is based on daily activities gives an idea about child’s aptitude which helps in his/her further training in any art form. After completing this course a student gets a certificate.

Mulagami :- Certificate Course
The basic Five year Certificate course conducted at all the branches is a Hobby Course. In this a student learns the basics of Bharat Natyam and acquires a minimum quality level of a dancer. It is aimed more at creating appreciation and giving sound knowledge base of dance. As part of the training every student performs annually on stage and thus gains confidence at personal level. A written examination is conducted at the end of this course, after passing of which, a student gets a certificate.

RANGAPRAVESHAM :- Diploma course
After the completion of the certificate course, it takes two/three years for a student to appear for the practical, oral as well as the written examination which makes her eligible for her first stage performance i.e. Arangetram. Here the concentration is on perfecting the technique. At this level the student becomes a member of the Trust and can participate in various activities conducted by the Trust. After attaining this level he/she also becomes eligible to do apprenticeship as an assistant teacher at any one of Kalavardhini's Training Centers. 

NRITYADHYAPAK :- Teacher Diploma course
The experience of an assistant teacher enables a student to become a full fledged teacher and she can start training students on her own. This is a 2/3 years course which is offered at some of the branches of Kalavardhini. The practical and theory exam is conducted at the main branch in Pune only. Apart from practical training in Teaching Methodology, this course also involves studies in theory and Natuvangam and the examination for the same.

WORKSHOP FOR KALAVARDHINI TEACHERS
This is an advance level work shop conducted by Dr. Sucheta Chapekar every year. It gives opportunity for all the Kalavardhini course teachers to come together and share their experiences in teaching, discuss the specific teaching problems and find the right solutions as well as learn new compositions proper for teaching young students. It is a forum where as dance teachers, they are able to update and rejuvenate their knowledge which is very essential in any teaching activity.
