Kalavardhini's Dancers and Teachers of merit

1)  Smita Mahajan
Senior most disciple of Dr. Sucheta Chapekar; B.A.' Sangeet Visharad; M.A. (dance), Music composer, choreographer and dance teacher. Winner of ‘Singarmani’ title. A versatile dancer performing in India and abroad for the past 20 years. She has choreographed and composed full fledged ballets and many traditional compositions. 

2) Arundhati Patwardhan
B.Com., M.A. (dance). Daughter disciple of Dr. Sucheta Chapekar. She is a vivacious dancer and is equally proficient in Bharata Natyam and "Nritya Ganga" She is a popular teacher and has special flavour for group choreography. Winner of ‘Singarmani’ title. She has studied all the aspects of performing. She is an excellent organiser. Has done pioneering effort to start Kalavardhini branches at Alibaug and Chinchwad.

3) Neelima Kadhe
Senior disciple, G.D. Art, Art Master, M.A. (dance). She has performed extensively and her dancing is marked by grace and beauty of line. Her subject of special interest and study is - Relationship of dance and painting. Presently working as a visiting faculty at Performing art center Pune University she has been the recipient of scholarship from cultural department Govt. of India as senior dancer researcher.

4) Alka Lajmi
B.Sc. (Home-science), M.A. (dance), performer for the past twenty years. Having an impressive stage presence she has given many solo and group performances. Works as senior teacher and examiner for Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, Vashi, New Mumbai. She has choreographed a ballet based on Kalidasa’s Shakuntal

5) Ashwini Ekbote
B.Com., M.A. (dance). She has special flair for abhinaya, attractive stage presence and is a choreographer and teacher. She heads Kalavardhini's Kothrud branch in Pune. She is also proficient in Nritya Ganga and has choreographed in this style ‘Anand kanda’ a group production based on Tulasi Ramayan.

6) Anjali Bagal
M.Sc. (Nutrition), M.A. (dance). She is a senior dancer having good stage presence and sense of music. She heads Kalavardhini Aundh branch in Pune.

7) Dhanashree Apte
B.Com., Nritya Visharad (stood first with distinction). She is an experienced dancer and teacher, has good stage presence and has a fine sense of music. She also perform in 'Nritya Ganga' style. She heads Kalavardhini branches at Miraj and Sangli.

8) Parimal Phadke
B.Com , M.A. (dance), has cleared UGC NET with distinction. Exceptionally bright and talented dancer. Shows great promise as a performer, scholar, teacher and a choreographer

9) Manasi Vaze
B.Com, B.A. and M.A. (dance). She has wide experience in theater. A spirited dancer and talented choreographer, she is also proficient in Nritya Ganga. She has taken efforts to establish Kalavardhini branch at Varaje.

11) Sayali Ranade
B.Sc. (Physics), M.A (dance). Her inquisitive & diligent mind is reflected in her Choreographies, which show a near scientific, logic oriented approach.
In addition to being a good performer and choreographer, her warm, empathetic nature makes her a popular teacher too. She heads Kalavardhini branch at Erandavane.

12) Ketaki Shenolikar
B.A. and M.A. (dance) with distinction, She has also cleared the UGC NET exam. She is conferred with the title ‘Singarmani’. Winner of the best dancer award in the choreography competition organized by Dadar-Matunga cultural centre Mumbai. She has given various solo and group performances all over the country. She heads Kalavardhini branch at Sahakarnagar.

13) Ketakee Nene
B.Sc. (Home Science - Human Development), M.A. (dance), has cleared the UGC NET exam. Having considerable command over Bharat Natyam and Nritya Ganga technique, she is working as assistant teacher incharge at Kalavardhini’s main branch since year 2004. She has designed one year art awareness course ‘Kilbil Nritya Kala Varga’ and is running it successfully.

14) Swarada Angal – Kulkarni
B.A. and M.A. (dance) Gold medalist, has cleared UGC NET exam. A talented dancer choreographer with probing mind, sharp intellect and hard working capacity Swarada has made a mark. She is equally fluent and imaginative as compere. Performs Bharat Natyam and Nritya Ganga with equal ease.

15) Lalan Desai
B.Com, M.A. (dance) Gold medal. A talented dancer with impressive stage presence. She is a recipient of National Scholarship (2008) from Dept. of culture, Govt. of India for advance studies. She has performed extensively as a soloist & in groups. Equally accomplished as a teacher, she also has special talent for choreography. Presently teaching Kalavardhini’s course at Kalangan, Maragaon.

16) Prachiti Natu
B.A. and M.A. (dance) Gold Medalist. Sawai Gandharva Scholarship (From Aarya Prasarak Mandal for 3 yrs 2007-10). Kalavardhini Charitable Trust Performance & Choreography 1st Prize. Winner of ‘Singarmani’ Award. Presently working as assistant Cultural Co-ordinator In Bharati Vidyapeeth

17) Rama Kuknoor
Young talented dancer with impressive stage presence. Having equal command over Bharat Natyam and Nritya Ganga Technique she is determined to work hard and make a mark in her chosen field. Recipient of HRD Govt. of India scholarship.

18) Yashoda Patanka
Youngest of the talented Kalavardhini dancers Yashoda showed excellent understanding of music which reflects in her performance. Having wide performing experience at a very young age she is slated to be a worthy performer. Recipient of HRD Govt. of India scholarship.
