Dr.Sucheta Chapekar presented her Nritya ganga at 50th Savai Gandharva Festival held in Pune on the 29th Of Dec.

Dr.Sucheta Chapekar performed for Srishti - the organization which promotes Indian culture and arts. She presented "Natya Ranga" which is her interpretation of marathi Natya Sangeet through her style of "Nritya ganga"

Dr.Sucheta Chapekar performed to a packed hall at Thane at Ram Marathe festival at Thane. She presented "Nritya Ganga" her style which beautifully brings out the synthesis of Bharatanatyam and Hindustani Music.


Bharatanatyam Arangetram -Disciples of Aparna Matange - Sonya Kothari and Jigna Shah performed their Bharatanatyam Arangetram at Miami Beach Arts Centre , on 17th August at 6:30 p.m. Aparna is one of the seniormost disciples of Dr.Sucheta Chapekar . Aparna has efficiently carried forward Kalavardhini 's primary aim of promoting art through classical dance.Aparna is equally proficient in preformance , choreography as well as music composition which are important aspects of Bharatanatyam.

About her students-
Sonya is a student of International Baccaleurate program of German National Honor. Jigna is a student from the MAST academy , she not only excells in Maths but has a flair for poetry . Both of them are indebted to their teacher Aparna for instilling love for Bharatanatyam and they look forward to pursue it further.Kalavardhini is proud of Aparna Matange who has kept its flag flying high in the U.S.A. The accompanist for the evening were as follows

A workshop was conducted by Dr. Sucheta Chapekar for the staff of Kalavardhini on "Adavus -myriad ways of teaching and executing"

Dr. Sucheta Chapekar
gave a towering performance at the Kartik Fine Arts on the 2nd of December. Nandini Ramini was full of praises for her performance in her review in the Indian Express. Another major highlight was the lecture demonstration on the traditional dance compositions of Shahji and Serfoji in the morning.

Leela Daru: a projection of various ideas thru pure dance aspect of Bharat Natyam at Bal Gandharva Rang Mandir at 6.00 pm. Donation passes available at theatre on the day of performance.
